Some Basics For Generating New Content
- Write Easy to Read Text
- People like to read things that are easy to understand. Don’t get too technical, using with large words that only 20% of the population understands. Break it up so that it’s not laid out in huge paragraphs that may overwhelm your users.
- Stay Organized
- Keep topics and sub-topics seperate. This will help your users and search engines navigate easily through your site without having to sift thru information that isn’t relevant to what they are looking for.
- Create Fresh, Unique Content
- Avoid duplicating someone else’s content. This may aggravate users who are looking for something in particular and keep coming accross the same material. Also, unique content will keep your existing visitors coming back, and bring in new ones.
- Create Content For Visitors, Not Search Engines
- I know this seems a little odd, but search engines aren’t going to pay you money. They may serve you people that pay you money, but you still have to sell the person. If your site brings in thousands of visitors every month, but it doesn’t read well enough for anyone to stay and see the point, well then there is no point, is there? When visitors like your site, they stay, come back and refer others.
